  1. Glue flat piece of something over any holes to block them. Wait until dry and glue generously from the other side to ensure hole is watertight.
  2. Drill one hole 30mm up from the bottom in each pot, diameter the same or slightly less than the tube diameter.
  3. Cut a ~8cm tube  and insert each end in the holes. Glue from both sides and ensure water tight seal.

Fill with soil and plant. Use the drip tray as cover for the reservoir. Remove to refill.

Water seep-through speed to clay pot decreases with lower reservoir water level, and as the clay pot doesn't reach the bottom of the plastic pot it sits in, the water below (roughly tube height) is unusable.

Over time you may get some algae growth. This may affect the aestetics by turning the tube green and also the reservoir, but you probably want a lid anyway. It should not affect the function in any way.
